A Sunset Stroll In Cape Cod
.
.
On a road trip in 2020 my friend Kristin (who was living in Massachusetts
at the time) took me out to Cape Cod for some sunset beach views.
Unfortunately, while we were there it decided to rain on us, but in
between bouts of rain we still managed to get our toes in the sand, take
some adorable pics, and see some gorgeous ocean views. Scroll down
to read about our evening in Cape Cod.
.
Our first stop was on the Cape Cod National Seashore to see
the Nauset Beach Lighthouse. (We both have a slight obsession
with lighthouses and this was one not to be missed!) Unfortunately, there
were no tours being conducted when we were there so we couldn’t go
inside, but I still enjoyed getting to see the lighthouse from the outside.

After snapping some pics of the lighthouse from the parking lot and
looking out onto the water, we hopped in the car and drove through
the rain to the nearby Skaket Beach. Eventually the rain let up and we
were able to get out and walk along the beach and even see
a faint sunset out in the distance.

After our beachin’ we were both craving ice cream so we headed to
the only place in the area that was open at the time (it was off season
in the Cape so most places were shut down for the season) the Ice Cream Cafe.

With COVID still being a concern the Ice Cream Cafe was only doing
takeout so we didn’t get to see the inside, but that’s okay. The ice cream
was just as delicious in our car. Lol It 100% hit the spot and I would
definitely come back to this place again.

So after spending just an evening in Cape Cod it is very easy to see
(even in the off season) why this place is one of the top USA
summer destinations and I would love to go back during the
summer season when everything is open and in full swing.
