Foodie Friday: The Hub - Moundridge, KS

Laying in bed, still in my PJs, and editing on a lovely Saturday afternoon I received a phone

call from Brittany asking if I wanted to go eat lunch with her and her family....in 20 minutes.

Now, for some people 20 minutes is more than enough time to get ready, but honey I am not

one of those girls. I do not just wake up cute and my outfit planning well, that in and of itself

takes waaaay longer than it probably should so I was stressing to say the least. However, after

throwing myself out of bed and sprinting around like a chicken with my head cut off I managed

to do my hair, makeup, and get dressed in exactly 20 minutes and followed Brittany and

her family to Moundridge to eat at a restaurant my brother had actually suggested to

me not a week prior, The Hub. Scroll on down to see how our first time visit here went!

We walked across the street and through the door of the large, open, and hip pizza

place joining Brittany's family inside. We stood and talked for a little while around

our HUGE tables and then, with stomachs growling, headed up to the

little register in the middle of the restaurant to place our food orders.

.

.

Now in hindsight we probably could have easily gotten away with Brittany, Tyler, Rhett, and

I sharing 1 or 2 pizzas, buuuuuuut we didn't plan on doing that and we

all 4 ordered different ones PLUS appetizers.

.

Rhett ordered the garlic knots and buffalo chicken pizza.

.

.

I ordered the porkey pie pizza.

.

.

And Brittany and Tyler ordered the loaf bread and chicken alfredo pizza.

Crew Reviews:

.

Brittany (& Tyler):

"The Hub was awesome I liked the different choices I didn’t like how spicy the

non-spicy was 🤣 but I’m a whimp. Tyler liked the selection of beer and the

dessert pizza was FIRE."

Those losers must have gotten the dessert pizza after Rhett and I left. Smh. Lol

.

Rhett:

"The hub was amazing. I recommend to anyone. The pizza was flavorful

and spiciness was amazing. Really enjoyed The Hub.

The environment was amazing also."

I walked into The Hub unsure of what to expect and immediately fell in absolute love with

the decor. It is 100% my aesthetic and I really liked the laid back chill atmosphere of the

place. It felt less like a restaurant and more like a backyard summer hang and I

definitely enjoyed that. The whole place is pretty much serve yourself including

their drink bar so the only experience with service we received was during our

ordering and food pickups (they text you when your order is ready), but overall those

little interactions were pretty good and the food came out pretty quickly.

Finally, the food. If you are a spice lover then I have to say that these pizzas are

definitely your style. Granted I am a wimp when it comes to spicy foods so take

that statement with a grain of salt and don't come for me if you don't find them

spicy at all...*cough cough* Rhett. lol Now even with the spiciness I thought

that the pizzas themselves were really good, full of flavor and some delicious

ooey gooey cheese with a great cheesy string pull apart factor. Definitely plan

on returning here and taking the bro beans with me cause this place is great.
