Gettin’ Basted - Branson, Missouri
They claim to have the best BBQ in all of Missouri. With MULTIPLE championship titles under their belt and Brad Leighninger their pitmaster and owner who won Guy’s Grocery Games in 2018 and tied for first on Food Network’s BBQ Brawl in 2025, that statement probably isn’t a big stretch. This is Gettin’ Basted.

DRINKS
Girls night out and fun drinks go hand in hand so here are the drinks the girls ordered while we were here!
First up we have Kels with the Piggy Punch which contained Svedka Vodka, coco rum, peach schnapps, pineapple, and cranberry juice.
Cass had the strawberry Senorita with house Tequila, triple sec, lemon and lime juice, and simple syrup.
And then Shannon ordered the Pineapple Express with Amaretto, Cruzan coconut flavored rum, pineapple juice, and fresh pineapples.
FOOD
Now on to the main event, the championship BBQ!
For my dinner I ordered the half rack of St. Louis style ribs with a side of mac and cheese.
Cass and Shannon both went with the brisket plate with sides of mac and cheese, fries, and fried okra.
And finally Kelsey went with the smoked turkey plate with sides of mac and cheese and fried okra.

I am still dreaming about that mac and cheese. I don’t know what kind of magic they threw into the pot they were cooking it up in, but I could easily eat only that every day for a week and not complain. It was honestly my favorite part of my meal! Now with that said, I did also enjoy the ribs and thought they were pretty good. I do think they could have used just a smidge more seasoning/flavor and I definitely should have added more sauce (I am a true believer in ribs so saucey it is impossible to walk out of the restaurant clean lol), but they were fall off the bone tender and top tier. The other girls also enjoyed their choices with the brisket being the definitive BBQ winner of the night and most deserving of all awards it has been given. Our only “complaint” from the evening was that it was all gone too fast. lol Definitely would go back here again!
