What the Hype: Killers of the Flower Moon Book Discussion

"History is a merciless judge. It lays bare our tragic blunders and foolish

missteps and exposes our most intimate secrets, wielding the power of

hindsight like an arrogant detective who seems to know the end of the

msytery from the outset." -David Grann
.
Non fiction stories are always tough for me to want to read. However, the

prominent true crime aspect and the fact that this story, which I had

never even heard word of, practically took place in my backyard made

for an interesting read that brought me deeper into the past than I

expected to travel. To read about the blatant disregard for human lives

was harrowing, but in the end justice prevailed acting as a nightlight

of hope in the sinister darkness making the uncomfortable feelings worth it.

THIS is a book that should be found on required reading lists for school

because going as long as I without having even heard word of it is a

tragedy in and of itself. Definitely worth the hype.
