The Waffle Bus - Derby, Kansas
The second I heard there was a new restaurant serving up hot and fresh waffles as their main dish feature I knew I had to check it out. So here are my thoughts on one of the newer additions to Derby, The Waffle Bus.

Walk into this bright restaurant with fun vibes and make your way right up to the order kiosks. Here you will place your order and pay all on your own. However, if you do have questions their staff is there to assist in anyway they can. This is what we decided to order:

A waffle topped with strawberries and powdered sugar with a side of syrup.
A buttermilk fried chicken and waffle sandwich
The MacDaddy sandwich on a waffle
The cheeseburger fryders
A side of mac and cheese
And of course a swirl milkshake. (I chose to give the Fruity Pebbles one a go mainly because I thought the colors made it look prettier than the others. lol)

As you can imagine I had high expectations for this restaurant from the start and I am happy to announce that they did not let me down. I love the idea of an entire place dedicated to waffles and was impressed by how many different ways they were able to feature this fantastic breakfast food! Each chicken sandwich had great flavor and the cheeseburger fryders while small, were mighty in flavor as well. The mac and cheese was nice and creamy how I like it and the milkshake tasted exactly like the milk leftover in the bowl after you finish eating all the bits of cereal out. You definitely do get a LOT of food though so either plan to share or expect to be taking home some leftovers. Overall, I enjoyed my trip to The Waffle Bus and I will definitely be going back again!
