Friday Eve Flashback: March 2024
March was a BUSY month, but what else is new right? lol Hope you enjoy reading!
.
.
What I've Been Up To
.
My first of many events in March was the Marion County
Charity Auction that I got roped into being on the committee
for this year! I ended up not taking on the responsibility of asking
for donations and instead decided to make my
first hand crochet blanket (in Chiefs colors of course) to be auctioned off.
.
.
I also made a new friend while helping set up for the auction.
.
The start of March also meant the start of spring and the
Easter season so new decorations were a must!
You can see the whole spring transformation here.
.
.
Speaking of spring...it didn't just bring us the hope of
better weather, but also the launch of a whole new channel in
The Everyday Adventurers universe, The Everyday Roamers! This
channel is allll about travel so if that is something you are
interested in go and check us out on YouTube, Instagram, and
TikTok! Right now our adventures have been kept to Kansas, but
we are hoping to venture out of the state soon!
(And who knows, even if you are a Kansas resident you might just
find out about something in the state that you didn't know before.)

March was also a BIG month full of books with Kelly and I
putting out FIVE new book videos over on the YouTube channel.
First was our livestream book discussion for our February book club book
The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston.
.
We attempted to make pom pom wall flowers, but like all of our other crafts we didn't exactly succeed. lol
.
Then came our February reading wrap up video where Kelly talked
about the books that pulled her out of her reading
slump and I talked about the ELEVEN I read.
(Fun fact I have read 11 books in January, February, AND March
which puts me over halfway to my Goodreads reading goal of 50! :) )
.
.
Next I LET Kelly win at a board game that picked
our April TBRs......just kidding Kel! lol She beat me fair and square.
You can find that video here.
.
.
Another home project completed in March was an office re-work!
My home office had become a literal dumping zone and it was
nearing the point where I could barely walk into the room so
SOMETHING had to change ASAP. I finally found
the motivation, bought some new furniture including the
beautiful orange locker below, and got everything back in order.
And of course this is also something you can find on my YouTube channel in two parts.
.
.

.
I also reorganized my bookshelves as part of this re-work and quickly found out I might need a few more.... #booknerdproblems lol
.
In March Justin and I went on an adventure in Topeka, Kansas
for The Everyday Roamers channel so be looking for that
video to come out here next week!
.
Taken at the Kansas State Capital building in Topeka.
.
Towards the end of the month I attended Vaffeldagen in Lindsborg, Kansas
and crafted a waffle crawl for myself, Cass, Beau, and Justin to
partake in. We ate soooo many waffles, but had a lot of
fun and plan on making it an annual event!
You can watch the vlog I made for the festival here!
.
.
After the waffle fest Justin and I headed to Salina, Kansas with my
dad, aunt, and uncle and attended the Kansas concert at the Stiefel Theatre! I only
knew 3 songs, but making memories and getting
to hear Carry On My Wayward Son live was worth it.
.
.
This month I also made what just might be two of my favorite
TikToks to date. For the first one I convinced my dad to do a TikTok trend with me
.
And then in the second one I recreated one of my favorite and most iconic outtakes from Supernatural.
.
Finally, with its early arrival, was Easter! The babies and
I celebrated together by going to church, having a nice breakfast
of homemade breakfast casserole and pancakes, and then a
photoshoot that I bribed the babies to be a part of with treats.
(Treats that Bailey later threw up all over the wall and window sill of my bathroom.)
.
.
The Babies
.
Granger LOVES to lay on shoes even if you are STILL WEARING THEM. lol

Okay so this next one is not one of my babies, but one of my shelter babies.
The absolute sweetest cat that gave me some much needed cuddles that day.
